The human body is two-thirds water. Water is essential nutrient that is involved in every function of the body. It helps transport nutrients and waste products in and out of cells. It is necessary for all digestive, absorption, circulatory, and excretory functions, as well as for the utilization of the water-soluble vitamins. It is also needed for the maintenance of proper body temperature.
Water must be continuously replaced since on average 250ml is lost on a daily basis through breathing. Nutritionists have difficulty in suggesting an exact daily requirement because the amount of water required will vary depending on the on the climate and whether any type of activity is undertaken. By drinking an adequate amount of water each day-at least eight glasses (2 liters) -you can ensure that your body has all it needs to maintain good health.
Your fluid needs might be double or even triple that amount when you work out for more than an hour in the heat. Even on cool days and shorter workouts, you still need to drink more than no athletes. You can live without food for several weeks, but you can go less than a week without water. The best way to get this water is by drinking plain water. But other beverages, such as fruit juices, milk, and no caffeinated drinks are also good sources of water. Fruits and vegetables can also be good sources of water. Sickness or health related problems are often misinterpreted as having a pain sensation many believe that one is often regarded as healthy without the absence of pain.
World health organization (WHO) define health as “A state where physical perfection, mental and social and not only without the absent of pain”. For all living organism health is homeostasis. It forms equilibrium between energy and mass where input and output are in balance. (To allow growth). Health also means to continue living faith positive outlooks.
Health problems are often related to the imbalance of toxic intake by the body as compared to the releasing of toxic from the body through the process of digestion. Too much consumption of harmful elements by the body either through food, breathing of air etc will effect the body capacity to carry out the process of detoxification. Toxic elements in the body create an upset to the balance which allows the penetration/counter reaction of bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungal etc. High toxic content in the body will subsequently weaken the body immune system hence the cause of numerous chronic diseases. Pain is an indication or a form of an early warning system signal by the body as a result of a high rate of imbalance which requires an immediate cure. Failure to “rectify” the imbalance could cause a chronic effect to the body which translates into serious illnesses/diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV etc.
Research shows that humans are constantly expose to pollution which could raise the level of toxic in the body. There are more than 120,000 types of chemical materials today and the numbers are increasing at a rate of 1,000 more each year.
Natural water supplies are polluted with toxic waste and thousands of chemicals materials which originates from various industrial activities on daily basis. Preservatives, chemicals and other harmful materials are also found in foods. Fruits, vegetables contain chemical effects as a result from the application of insecticides and pesticide in the agricultural industries. Fishes in the sea and river with metal, poultry with antibiotic and hormones. All these have a dire consequence to human's health.
Research by medical expert’s shows that most medicine is chemical based which carries out a harmful side effect to your health. New awareness towards then risk in taking chemical based medications have prompted many to use herbs based medications. However the composition of natural chemicals in herbs can also leads to a harmful effect to health in the long run.
